Barefoot Worlds Continues In Germany
The Barefoot Water Ski World Championships is under way in Brandenburg, Germany. For the third consecutive time, the biennial Elite Barefoot Water Ski World Championships is being held simultaneously with the biennial Junior and Senior Barefoot Water Ski World Championships. Grand City Wins D2 Show Nationals
The Grand City Show Skiers (Grand Rapids, Mich.) won the team title at the 10th Division 2 Show Ski National Championships, Aug. 7-8, at Hidden Lake in Warsaw, Ind. Hosted by the Lake City Skiers (Warsaw, Ind.), the tournament featured five teams competing for the Division 2 show ski national title.
U.S. Wins Gold Medal At Junior Worlds
The U.S. Junior Water Ski Team won the overall team gold medal and six U.S. water ski athletes earned individual medals in respective events at the 13th Junior Water Ski World Championships, Aug. 5-8, in San Gervasio, Italy. The United States tallied 7,386.38 points at the biennial event. Australia earned the silver medal with 7,002.12 points and France earned the bronze medal with 6,806.42 points.

Barefoot Worlds Under Way
The Barefoot Water Ski World Championships got under way Sunday in Brandenburg, Germany. For the third consecutive time, the biennial Elite Barefoot Water Ski World Championships is being held simultaneously with the biennial Junior and Senior Barefoot Water Ski World Championships. The Elite Barefoot Worlds is taking place for the 17th time, the Junior Barefoot Worlds is taking place for the ninth time, and the Senior Barefoot Worlds is taking place for the seventh time. Coble-Eller Wins Malibu Open
U.S. water ski athlete April Coble-Eller won the women's slalom title at the 2010 Malibu Open on Saturday night at Veteran's Park in Milwaukee, Wis. Coble-Eller scored 1-1/2 buoys at 39-1/2 feet to take the title over fellow U.S. athlete Regina Jaquess, who scored 1 buoy at 39-1/2 feet off.
Malibu Open To Be Webcast
The 2010 Malibu Open will take place Friday and Saturday in Milwaukee, Wis. Malibu Boats and Milwaukee County Parks have teamed up to bring the 2010 Malibu Open to Veteran's Park. Finals for the world-record capability slalom and jumping event will be held under the lights with a total cash-prize purse of $50,000 at stake.
